This is a great list! I will keep it in mind, too, for the next time I go to Corfu.

Information about Corfu Public Transport?

I’m planning a trip to Corfu and trying to decide whether I need to rent a car or if public transportation will be enough to get around. I know I can look up schedules myself, but what I really want to hear is first-hand experiences from people who have actually used the buses in Corfu.

Are they reliable and frequent, or should I expect long waits and delays? Do they run late into the evening, or will I be stranded if I stay out too late? Also, are some areas of the island better to stay in if I want to rely on buses rather than a car?

I don’t mind renting a car if I really need to, but I’d love to avoid it if public transportation is decent. Any insights or tips from those who have been there? Thanks in advance!

Stay in Corfu town or by the beach?

I'm planning a trip to Corfu this summer and I’m torn between staying in Corfu Town or booking a place by the beach.

I’ve heard Corfu Town is beautiful, walkable, and full of history, shops, and restaurants — which sounds perfect for evening strolls and exploring. But then again, I’m also imagining waking up by the sea, with easy access to a quiet beach and that relaxed island vibe.

We’re planning to rent a car for at least part of the trip, so we’ll be able to explore different areas.

What do you recommend: stay in the heart of Corfu Town and day-trip to beaches, or stay by the coast and drive into town when we want a bit of culture and nightlife? Would love to hear your experiences and suggestions – especially if you've done both!

Nightlife Advice for Corfu

I'm curious about the nightlife scene on Corfu. I've heard it's a beautiful place with plenty of daytime activities, but I'm wondering if there's also a good selection of bars, clubs, or evening entertainment to enjoy after dark. Are there any specific areas or towns on Corfu known for having lively nightlife? I'm particularly interested in places where locals and tourists mix, and where I can experience authentic Greek vibes as well as some modern options.

Any recommendations for must-visit spots or tips on the best time to go out would be really helpful. I'm also open to suggestions for more laid-back evening activities, like live music or beach bars, or something like that. I am getting a feel for the vibe.

Top Archaeological Sites in Corfu?

I know Corfu has a unique blend of influences, from the ancient Greeks and Romans to the Venetians, and I’d love to visit some great places.

Could anyone recommend the must-see archaeological sites or historical locations in Corfu? I’ve heard a bit about the Old Fortress in Corfu Town and the Temple of Artemis, but I’m sure there are other gems that shouldn’t be missed. Also, are there any smaller, lesser-known sites off the beaten path that are worth visiting for someone who loves history? Thanks so much!

Visiting Corfu for Christmas

I’ll be visiting family in Corfu this Christmas, and I’m really excited to experience the island during the holiday season! While I’ve been to Corfu in the summer, this will be my first time there in winter, and I’m curious to know if there are any special traditions, events, or activities that happen around Christmas.

Are there any unique Corfiot customs I should be aware of? I’ve heard a little about the island’s Venetian influence and wonder if it shapes how Christmas is celebrated there. Also, are there any Christmas markets, concerts, or festive foods that I shouldn’t miss while I’m there?

I’d love to hear about any must-see spots or local celebrations to add to my itinerary. If you have any tips for experiencing a warm and authentic Corfiot Christmas, please share!
